Oh, how this cracks me up.

The question is - how will the implementation of the internet filter go? Will it cause such a backlash that will topple governments, or, should I start investing in international proxys?

The legislation for the internet filter is to be introduced into Parliament sometime this year, most probably after the election. Until then, if you want to fight it then get involved, write letters to whoever is representing you in Federal Parliament and/or federal government departments, donate or volunteer at EFA, follow and see what you can do at NoCleanFeed, anything to raise awareness of it not just online where you're preaching to the choir but elsewhere. You've got time now, haven't you? =D
