Mar 09, 2008 02:01

Integra lay in bed on her side, propping up an anthology of vampire literature pre-dating Bram Stoker.  She was recovering from another nasty cold and reading was currently all Dr. Trevellian and Walter permitted her to do.  Fortunately, at the moment her energy level was such that she didn't really mind the confinement.

Thanks for the feedback. I didn't know how busy you were currently to know if you'd have time to beta it - and it's just a small piece, I didn't care to put it through multiple revisions.

And thanks for particularly pointing out that paragraph. I didn't think it particularly better than any other bit, so that's helpful. :)

Hm, a part of me would have preferred if it ended at "Integra was too startled to stop him, but her tongue reacted apart from her, winding around his finger for every trace of tea" and added the last sentence to finish it off. It felts more sensual to me - along with an air of breathlessness.

With that said, my mouth really did drop open when Alucard dipped his pale finger into the tea and swirled it around. Mm, tasty. :)

Thanks so much for the feedback - it really helps to hear what worked best or what would have worked better for readers.

Hee, I'm glad it was so successful.
