I like that very much. Quite in line with a quote I referenced by Terence McKenna; The rise of Western Monotheism has marginalised the role of Humans...; I believe that with the power of the mind we can acheive things unheard of.

Are you taking a class in it or just exploring for personal reasons?
I'd be curious to find out if you were look at the Theravadan or Mahayana sub-traditions. Regardless, it is a tremendous religion that is really the most open-minded, positive religious tradition around. I would recommend the following book. It's so super-accessible and just fun to read.

I'm actually exploring it for personal reasons but am considering taking a class on it.

I haven't gotten into the different versions of it but probably will as I learn more.
