Hi! Welcome to Lace Parasol Icons! I am so excited to be starting this journal with my dear friend! :)

Over the past few weeks I've made several small sets of icons, so I decided to post them all as one big post. Many of these icons use text brushes from _blisse. Several of the scans are from Maiden-Fair.com.

I took 5, 12, 20, 23, and 44. I don't know who that actress is, either, but her dresses ARE pretty. :) LOL

Ooo, I love the painting icons! #4 looks especially familiar, for some reason - I think I might have studied it last year. Although the name doesn't sound familiar.

Alicia Silverstone's probably most famous for starring in Clueless - a modern-day adaption of Emma, set in Beverly Hills. It has some hilariously funny parts: Cher failing her driving test, then trying to become a better person to win the affection of her ex-step-brother. *giggles* I must warn you, though, that Cher is not exactly like Emma, because . . . well, she lives in a posh public high school. :p

In one sorting community, I was a Gryffindor with a hint of 'Puff, so I like how you used Liv Tyler to represent that House. And she looks especially Puff-like in #47.

And what I originally meant to say . . . was I'm saving #1, 4, 11, 23, and 40, and if I use any of them I'll definitely credit. :D

I'm glad you like the painting icons... they were the ones that got me back on the icon making track. :) Charles Courtney Curran made the painting titled The Orangery - a painting that has a girl reading a book on her lap and holding a flower in her hand near her face. It's one of my favorites.

Aww, thanks for telling me who Alicia Silverstone is. :) I don't feel so clueless now. Lol! I didn't intend for that to come out like that!

It's funny, they thought I was Hufflepuff, with a touch of Gryffindor, though I think I'm more of a huffleclaw.

Oh, those are beautiful paintings, and beautiful icons! All the sets are wonderful, but I think the Alicia Silverstone set is my favorite. I love 21 and 25 especially.

Liv Tyler definitely strikes me as someone who would be sorted into Hufflepuff, lol!
