I Can Never Turn Down a Book Meme

The Big Read thinks the average adult has only read six of the top 100 books they've printed below. (I suspect this list is geared towards US-based readers.)

1) Look at the list and bold those you have read.
2) Italicize those you intend to read.

could have been Rebecca. That would make sense and sounds slightly familiar from the last time I saw this floating around.

31. Anna Karenina - Leo Tolstoy

DUDE. Know what else Tolstoy wrote? WAR AND PEACE.

Just save yourself the hassle and read the synopsis. *shudder*

Yeah, I corrected my entry. It's Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier.

This isn't as bad as that movie meme I've seen floating around which is a total mess. Most of these seem to be "books you would have read in school."

I think the complete works of Shakespeare isn't that out of the question, as I had a single volume of it on my shelf at one point, and while rather hefty indeed, it's still no War and Peace or even Les Miserables. Having Hamlet as a separate entry? Bogus. But I only say that because I only love one line in it, and the rest can sod off.

Well, books you were supposed to read in school. I'm quite certain there's five or so on there I was supposed to read but didn't. The ones I bolded were probably the only books from 7th grade to 12th that I actually bothered reading. I have no idea how I passed high school, by the way.
