(just a sidenote, I love how it's always sunny in your pictures) generic ideas aren't bad, but forcing yourself out of your comfort zone and trying new things might give you new insights and can give you new ideas so you'll be able to grow in whatever you do. Speaking of which, what do you do? (I feel so bad for not knowing this :p) I think it'll get boring after a while if you're not able to challenge yourself.
FINALLYYY someone who likes (perhaps loves?) Best Coast! I absolutely adore them, I'm seeing them next month (I'm still jealous though). What's your favourite song by them?
We're in the same boat, I should get a job as well, the only difference is that I'm just too lazy (but secretly I'm just too shy to go ask around for a job). Now I wish I was one of those pretentious hipsters who think they can make a living out of selling their art.
Yeah we get a lot of sunshine at our place because of those big/(potential stalker) windows!
Yeh i definitely agree with you,i'm trying to accept different ways to make a cd booklet/leaflets. Ohh i'm studeying graphic design :) haha!
AHHH AWESOME! i love them, they were great live and we were right in front of them. The venue was small and really intense and i rlly like that. Apparently after the show we can actually come up to them and have a talk. But my friends and i had to rush and catch the train :( blah. BUT yes you'll love them! Beth will do one of those feet exercise while playing the guitar (its so cute haha).
Ahh i really like "The end" and "when i'm with you", how about you??
AHHAHA yeh i wish i was them but i'd rather keep my sketches for my own guilty pleasure and boredom (because they're bad haha)
ahh I can't wait! I heard a lot of stories from people who just went to talk to them afterwards, so that's definitely what I'm going to do (or try?). Such a bummer that you had to leave so early. At the moment I'm really loving 'up all night' but I basically love everything ♥
And maybe you could get away with selling them, you should see what shit some people are trying to sell these days, hahah.
What do you mean you wanna move outta your comfort zone? Being in comfort zone isn't bad - after all, you're doing what you're best at! =P
Cels, if you are finding it hard to find a part time job, try more creative approaches. Come on your as fine art student, see if you can find small mags or something who want part-time graphic designers (assistants, etc).
Or maybe you can try selling some of your graphics online. Or maybe design web layouts with someone (Karin?) and sell them online in collaboration with other websites.
Hahah thank you i look like a 9yr old with that hair -_-
Yeah i feel like i'm playing with safe ideas, so i guess i'm trying to approach ideas or techniques that i dont usually mingle with. I mean i might not like it but it could lead to other things. Hahah yehh these tutors they brain wash you but i can always go back to my comfort zone once im done with the "uncomfortable" ones.
That is exactly what i have actually been doing the last few weeks, i thought to myself okay going around in cafes and stuff is not gonna help me but yeh i've been in touch with some small design groups and they want my online portfolio. So i've been compiling that. woop. and i've been browsing and trying to find design internships.
Although if i do get part time jobs it would help a lot with my money budget. so so brokeee :(
i will be there for the cupboard if you guys need me, we're all in this together................... our bad luck is true. anywho, d00d tell me what your assignments are :3 i miss doing arrrrrrrt.
I hope you get a job soon! Earlier on I had a really hard time finding jobs - I have no idea why people just don't want to hire me.
And coffee making class seems fun, update us! I wish I can learn it too. It has always been my dream to work part-time at Starbucks making coffee hehe.
That's what exactly i'm asking myself, they are actually hiring but they never seem to call me back after that. Haha my resume is probably hiding under all the bunch of papers they've got.
Yess i'll definitely let you know how it goes :) Ahh i know i've been wanting to work there in forever just because i love their stuff haha
