It was perhaps a fortunate chance that Robb was the first of his family Ned encountered after his meeting with Vimes. It only took him a moment to decide how he would speak on it to him. "Robb," he said, his expression set and hard. "There is a new arrival to the island which you will like no more than I."

Robb arches a curious eyebrow and holds out the bottle. "That sounds like promising news. Who is it this time, Mad Aegon himself?"

"No," said Ned, who was in no mood to jest; though that would be the only other person Ned would care less to see - the Mad King or his eldest son. "The Lannister boy. Joffrey."

Robb only nods, stunned temporarily into silence. "How do you know?" he asks, once he can find his voice again.
