I'd like to start off by thanking the people who voiced concern over the past few days and sent well-wishes in the general direction of my beautiful kitty, Cosmo

I'm so sorry. I won't try to make it better, cause I can't. Tell him good-bye and I'm sorry I can't be there to give him a hug. Just like Sarah and Wattie, need anything, drop me a line. Cell is (709) 607-0196, it's always on. Sorry this is choppy, writing between reaching for the tissues so i don't leak on my computer... *hug*
Please don't blame yourself. It's expensive, even for someone not in your situation. and it's an uphill battle with the same results, no matter how much you fight it. You've done more than imaginable, and gave him a great home. And you're right, it's not fair to see him suffering. I love that cat so much, considering he's not even mine. But he's old, and was when you got him. And thigns give out after awhile, it's a fact of life. I know it's hard now, but you have to eventually look on the bright side of it: You gave him a great life while you had him, and better than he could have possibly hoped for coming from his background. Give him goodbye scratches for me. And take care of yourself honey.
Kelly, I am really sorry to hear about this. I'm the last person you care about expressing their concern, I know. But regardless, my thoughts are with Cosmo, and I hope that tomorrow goes as peacefully as possible for him. He is a lovely cat, and I am very sorry that this has happened.
I don't have anything to add to this that others haven't already said. It's undeniably hard losing a pet, especially our first one. I was a wreck when my Dad and I went to put Digby down a few years ago.

Scratch him behind the ears for me and tell him I said goodbye.
