I ended having the 3 day transfer this morning, without E. That was tough. It was made tougher because I had to wait half an HOUR strapped to the operating table, legs splayed, before the doctor finally showed up. My bladder was already full to bursting an hour and a half before that, when my transfer was originally scheduled. It was also made ( Read more... )

Maybe this is exactly the situation that the baby wanted in order to have a great birth story later on. Let's have cautious hope okay? I will for you, if you want to take a break. :)

Thank you, Laura. I'm feeling a little better about the whole situation today. E and I had a good chat last night. He spoke about his desire to give up... about not putting me though another retrieval, and this whole gutwrenching rollercoaster of emotion that goes along with the process. I told him that I felt that way too, as I was wiping away tears whilst strapped to the table for an inhumane length of time. I guess perspective is everything... the nurse was trying to comfort me while we waited, telling me that things happen for a reason - maybe the doc was late because the embies needed more time in the dish? Whereas I was thinking, ya- I'm being punished for some reason as I lay here, naked from the waist down, with a bladder seconds away from exploding. I liked her version a lot better, so I went with it ( ... )

I am so frustrated and sad for you :( I will be praying that at least one of those little babies holds on and makes it!

Us too - our most successful pregnancy to date was the result of a 7 cell and a 6 cell IVM embryos... although they didn't make it all the way, I still think we have a chance with this one. My last cycle, our two "perfect" 8 cells go much less far!
