Penny can!

I got back from my island vacation a couple of weeks ago, but hiatus doldrums have put the kibosch on my posting anything. Basically, it all boils down to this: ( What I Did on My Spring Vacation )

personal, gvp (gratuitous video post), tv: amazing race, tv: survivor, vacation, tv: cougar town, tv: good wife, tv: top chef

It was amazing. And I even got a tan! (Living in Florida cured me of the Swedish obsession with tanning.) Because it was kind of cold sitting in the shade, I had to sit in the sun occasionally. And thus tanning was had.

I can't tell you how much more enjoyable it will be to proofread Jersey Shore episodes now that I can imagine the lines being said like that. Heh!

Are Swedes obsessed with tanning? I did not know that. I'm allergic to the sun (literally -- I get a rash if I go out in a strong sun without sunblock) and have had basal cell skin cancer, so I'm most definitely not a tanner!

Anything that can make JS bearable is a win!

It's not tanning so much as sunshine, I think. People here are so starved for it that by the time we get some sun and warmth, everyone basks in it. But I spent my teen years taking sunshine for granted (Sunshine State and all), so I never developed this weird affliction.

The Jersey Shore is the craziest phenomenon I've seen in a while. This week I've seen shows that should have had nothing to do with guidos of any kind, and yet The Situation was at the Donald Trump Roast and Pauly D was the opening act for Britney Spears' Vegas show. I'm sorry, but who are these people again?

I feel the same way re TAR (sniff Cowboys) though I can ignore Mallory for Gary's sake as I like him alot! And yes Rob -please don't get eliminated. And Cougar Town is so much fun. And I do remember the first 5 episodes. Wasn't Jules sleeping with some young guy or something? Now I just adore everyone!

Glad you had an awesome vacation!

Gary is too quiet to stand out at all around Mallory. I sometimes forget he's on the team at all. Rob needs to stay so that I can enjoy this entire season. He doesn't have to win, he just needs to be there all the way. I don't remember a young guy, but I've probably repressed it (or forgot it from utter boredom). I'll job my memory in a few days, though, because I just ordered the season 1 DVDs.

Nothing is better than reading by the pool. Nothing!

Wait what? I was sure there were three episodes left of The Good Wife! *runs in panic*

Well, if that's the case you certainly won't hear me complain, but epguides.com only has one more episode listed and my favorite tv schedule site only has 2x21 scheduled for May 4th.

I've been going crazy trying to remember were I read that we had still 3 epis and I just found it, Ausiello, of course.

"The first of Wife‘s three remaining season 2 episodes doesn’t air until May 3."

I guess we will have to wait and see ;P

Oh yay, that sounds much better than just the one! I may be wrong here, but The Good Wife hasn't been renewed, right? So maybe that has something to do with it? I mean, I assume they've wrapped the season already, but maybe CBS wants to give them more time to edit the final episode into a series finale in case they decide to axe it? I don't know, my mind refused to acknowledge the idea that it may not stick around for next season.

Boston Rob is back on Survivor? Man, I kind of want to watch again for the first time in ages. I want that guy to win all the shows.

He's been on this entire season. He and Russell joined opposing teams and battled it out for dominance. I've enjoyed it tremendously so far (though I always preferred Rob on The Amazing Race because it's less mind games - but still some! - and more actual acuity) and I'm staying in it until Rob is voted off or he makes it to the end, whichever comes first.
