I'm going on vacation in a month! Which is why I've been been on a buying spree for all the things I've been meaning to buy so that I can take it with me. So far I bought a camera (a Nikon Coolpix - purple), a new eReader (I've been getting annoyed with the format limitations of my old one, and the BeBook Club is pretty damn cheap as eReaders go), ( Read more... )

If only it were possible for it to come down to a Troy Barnes v. Leslie Knope real ultimate showdown. DAMN YOU, BRACKET. If they aren't the final two for comedies there is no justice in the world.

If only! Because I would hate to have to vote one of them out when there were still others in the game who I'd much rather see go. In the end, I'd have to go with Leslie, though. She came dangerously close to becoming a caricature in the very first season and now she's amazing! Troy has never had to rise from those kinds of depths, so my love for Leslie runs that much deeper.

YES. Also, my other goal for March Madness: AERYN SUN, PAST ROUND ONE! I am chanting it like a battle cry.

Your thoughts on TAR are EXACTLY the same as mine, including the continuing hate-on for Luke and Margie and mad love for cowboys.

I still haven't found myself actively enraged at Luke and Margie, but I can still remember the feeling and I'm expecting it any day now (unless they're booted next week or something).

They were nice to Mel when he was feeling poorly, so that wins points. Kisha or Jen -- can't remember off hand which is which, but the older sis -- also won points by asking Mel if he was feeling better. I like it when racers are nice to each other. (Just as people -- it bugged me last week when Christina/Ron told, like FOUR TEAMS the puzzle!)

Oh, but what I really hated was this week's episode and the whole "they met as children, SEE HOW THEY WERE DESTINED FOR EACH OTHER?" crap that I find to be the most treacly and useless trope in all of storytelling.
Fringe is a Kdrama.

Haha, the truth has finally been revealed! (Honestly, I'm pretty sure you could tweak the caps enough to make a totally believable comparative picspam to a Kdrama. But which would be the best fit?)

No! NO! None of this negativity! TROY BARNES FOR THE WIN! WE ARE GOING TO MAKE IT HAPPEN! :D

I am so excited for March Madness. I am sitting her flailing just thinking of all the amazingness that is about to happen. I really hope we have some awesome shakeups this year, like Lindsay Weir overtaking one of the vampires last year. Leslie Knope should make it so much farther than she probably will, YOU ARE CORRECT.

Eeeeee!

My bracket is nothing but shakeups! I have Aeryn going to the finale for crying out loud!

Where she is beaten by Troy. See, I have positivity! (Of course, if it's Troy vs. Leslie like in my bracket, I'll probably have to vote Leslie even though I want Troy to take it all. Madness!)

I will support her every step of the way, even if she goes up against Troy who I put as the winner in my bracket. THAT'S RIGHT, I WILL SABOTAGE MY OWN BRACKET FOR A LESLIE STREAK OF AWESOMENESS.
