You can buy a kit to do it yourself for 50 bucks, which would probably suit me better since the Swedish language has three extra letters and I actually have an old typewriter I could use. But there's soldering and stuff involved, so that's also out for me.
HEE! I keep wondering though, what if it's one of those typewriters w/ carriage that goes back and forth and your ipad is shot out of it like a canon when you hit the return key??
I noticed that not all of the typewriters said they were iPad compatible and I was wondering if it might only be those old ones with the lever where you control the action yourself that were suitable for iPads and the ones with automatic returns weren't.
Oh, and if you look at the video I embedded you'll see that the carriage actually does go back and forth.

We had a manual typewriter where the slide of the carriage was so violent that the carriage occasionally flew off the typewriter ;)
