Juliet has a decentish lead at the moment thankfully. I'm holding out a lot of hope for her this year as it's Lost's last season and she's awesome.
I'm hoping Dean comes up against some other popular guy really early and it causes enough of a backlash so whichever one wins gets voted out next round.
Ughhhhh this Dean thing is so annoying, I just went to vote for Castiel and I really hope we can get enough people to do that, because if Dean gets far again IT WILL BE SO BORING AND KIND OF GROSS, FRANKLY.
SINK HIM EARLY, that's what I say. Before we get all the people who aren't invested, but are brought in from the mega huge SPN comms solely to vote for Dean. LIKE LAST TIME.
I'm hugely encouraged by the other categories, though.
I've been watching the numbers all day [and changing my votes around a couple of times because I'm relying on the comments to vote on the shows I know nothing about *g*], and I've been pleasantly surprised at how many races have women in the front. Scully! Aeryn! Chloe! CJ Cregg! I'm loving this.
Also, the Castiel campaign is great. Hee. Taking Dean out of the competition early is probably a very nice idea, yes. I've voted for Ruby, but I'm gonna keep watching that race and possibly change my vote in the end.
I seriously need to reboot my computer (or, you know, turn it off) because those comments and gift and polls and whatnot are clogging up the system something fierce. But I can't look away!
Even the ones where I voted for male characters (John and Josh to be precise), I'm keeping a close eye so that I can change the vote if the scales start to tip the other way. One person I do want out, though, is Ten. Last year he took out both Aeryn (in the first round no less!) and Mal. He's gotta go!
I've restarted Firefox I don't know how many times after the voting started. The animated GIFs kill MemoryFox every half hour.
I'm definitely posting tomorrow about voting for the female characters, and on how to get Dean and Barney [and Ten as well! GAH.] out of the competition early. And I'm totally gonna steal your links to show people that they can change their votes anytime. :)
It's awesome to hear that you've switched from Tyra to Tami! I plan to do a post basically saying "a vote for Tami is a vote for every character" because of how she's basically everyone's mom (or hot wife, depending) so we can even sway Tim Riggins fans. THE YEAR OF THE LADIES INDEED.
I actually did that before people started talking about the switch from Matt to Tami, because I saw that Tyra didn't have a chance, but Tami did. Anything to break the male stronghold!
Doesn't look like the Dean fangirls will let us have that victory, but I am encouraged that there are plenty of characters with more votes. Maybe he can be stopped in his tracks at some other point?
