In the comments of my post last week there was a discussion about the second (in actual fact, the third) door in Josh's office, and whether anyone ever used it. A lo and behold, in the very next episode I watch (Celestial Navigation for those playing at home) what do I see? That's right,
Sam entering through the door. Of course, when I said in the

Hiiii! I did have a great weekend away -- and we watched Celestial Navigation as well. *g*

You can never have enough Celestial Navigation, that's what I say. Though I just finished the first disc of season 2 and I'm finding myself all warm and fuzzy at the thought of all that season 2 goodness ahead. Season 1 doesn't really come together for me until CN and the subsequent episodes, but season 2 just works so beautifully on every level.
Hey, remember those fic recs you wanted? Guess what I've been doing pretty much every day since then, and especially this weekend? If you guessed "reading Josh/Donna fics" you win! Someone also recced some more stuff in that other post and that just started the whole thing up again.

I've always had a thing for MCH (I say always, but I only watched SFU, what? A year ago?), but mostly I just find him aesthetically pleasing and an incredibly good actor. BUT MAN. My jaw was just a little bit on the floor in that scene, and it had everything to do with the back and shoulders on that man. Yikes.
Man, I am so with you on Rita, though. I didn't mind her last season, and mostly liked her, or at least liked the role she was playing in Dexter's life, but this season she just bugs. Although, I don't want her to go away, because I am absolutely fascinated by Dexter's relationship with her kids, and I really don't want to lose that aspect of the show.

I think the complete fuckedupedness of their relationship, and her past with Paul, worked perfectly for Dexter as a character, but this stronger Rita? I sort of lose respect for her every time I see her NOT see him for who he really is. Even though I know he's really good at concealing it. But I agree, I still want him to interact with the kids, so Rita has to stay. I just hope it's not as Dex's significant other, but I'm not holding my breath (it may already have happened, I haven't watched last night's episode yet.)

I completely agree with you about Dexter and Deb. I freaking adore their relationship. It's amazing. And I'm dying to see her reaction when she finds out the truth. I'm kind of half expecting her not to care because she loves him that much. But it's tv, it's drama, she'll care :)
