Voxified

So I went and got myself a Vox account. Probably won't actually do anything with it (unless there's another LJ blackout, even though I got a journal on one of those other sites just for that purpose, only I can never actually remember I have it).

So far I'm liking two features a lot: Videos, where I spent most of the day searching for v. v. ( Read more... )

vox, tv: office, videos: youtube, tv: daily show

And now I'm too mesmerized by your icon to think clearly.

Seriously! It made me put in the sixth disc, so I could watch the whole scene.

Now you're making me wanna! Except the one make-out scene I really love is the one from I Am God, because it's both hot, and it has the added benefit of having Logan and Veronica snarking at each other. Plus, it has the Hi! from the week of Hi!s. That was a good week...

In other news, I added Plateness to my interests.

This clip includes the puppy. I read the transcript for his speech a few years ago and only found the clip recently.

I actually have it on my harddrive, so I can watch it that way. I have the sneaking suspicion that the YouTube feed on Vox isn't all-inclusive. Either that or you have to find the exact combination of keywords to get a hit.

That was an emotional video of Jon Stewart which I had never seen before. Thanks for posting the link.

I've got a Vox too, but I haven't done anything with it yet. I'm bellanut over there too. I keep meaning to check out the features in greater depth.

Aaaand, now I'm probably going to spend the next hour watching all the video's you just watched ;)

I added you.

It's funny that I'm so fond of the Video feature because LJ allows us to link videos. I guess I just want them all available in the same place.

And trust me, that will be an hour well-spent. Though you might not be so interested in the Spike/Buffy outtakes. Or maybe it'll get you interested enough to start watching Buffy for real. =)

That part is actually pretty easy. If you go to any page in any blog (like the video page I linked to) you see a navigation strip up top where you can add the user. I tend to only add those I know really well as friends as well as neighbors.

I am SO glad you mentioned that Daily Show episode. I'd never seen it before.
It's one of those things that just restore your faith in humankind. Actually Jon Stewart tends to do that to me on a regular basis. He's just so...decent.

Have you ever seen 25th Hour?
I haven't, but I think I'm going to have to now. =)

I watched this hour long Q&A with him and I was just so impressed with him. He's just so funny and so insightful.
One thing about Joss is that he gets it, he understands where the good story is. I mean, sure, there are missteps, but there is always something that redeems them. Mostly it's characterization arcs because he kicks ass at those.
