I have never in my life come across people who seem less like Christians and yet they keep pushing that in our face every single chance they get. If it isn't them praying to God to make them win a freakin' reality show, it's them saying that they're better than others because they're Christians. Such hateful, awful, idiotic people. HAAAAATE!
Be thankful; I know loads of people like that. It's not at all unusual, at least in NC, and I think in most of the US South.
See, people like the Weavers are what give Christians a bad name. And the fact that they're not alone in their behavior? Yeah, I pretty much got that, I'm just happy I've never come across any in real life because I'm not sure I could hold my tongue.
Now that you've mentioned Serenity, I went on the website of my cinema multiplex, because I wanted to check the date again, and now it isn't there anymore, and I know it used to be.
So what, they announced it, then pulled it out of international market? I never watched Firefly, so I'm not in the fandom, and I don't know what's going on and such, I'm just curious, because I was thinking of going to see it, and now it isn't on the schedule at all.
I completely agree with you on everything you said about the Weavers. I haven't liked them from the beginning and at first my parents thought I was strange because they hadn't done anything wrong (yet) but I told my parents it bugged how they invoked God for every tiny little detail.
Blah on them. My favorite was when the Godlewski sisters were being nice to them at the Go-Kart track and they were like "they are so fake! blah blah blah HATE HATE HATE" and then they turn right around and talk about how everyone is classless? Whatever.
My mom was so upset the Paolos were eliminated. They were her favorites. I'm pulling for the Linzs, but really I'd be happy with a non-Weaver win.
Sorry to ramble on and on...but not many people on my flist are watching TAR.
At the beginning I disliked them for invoking God all the time, but the Paolos got on my very last nerve. Then I learned to tune out the abuse and see the geniune caring that the Paolos had for one another, while the Weavers have just been showing their true colors more and more.
And yeah, the Go-Kart thing had me screaming at the TV. Those kids are the most snot-nosed little bitches ever! I couldn't believe it when one of the daughters almost started crying on the mat. The funny thing was that not even Phil seemed to be very affected by it. Totally understandable.
My dream final three right now are Linz-Bransen-Godlewski. Preferrably in that order on the mat, as well. Before they were eliminated last week I would have liked to have seen the Gaghans instead of either-team-not-named-Linz, but that wasn't to be.
No need to worry about the ramble, I know the feeling. When I don't post about it, it's usually because I've left novel-length comments to one of my two friends who watch and write about the show. =)
My Name is Earl Not as brilliant as last week, but I still loved so much about it. Golfing clothes! Beer! Poochie! Randy! Smokey and the Bandit! With accompanying theme music!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this week's episode was a bit weak. I still thought it was funny, it just seemed to be missing something to push it into the realm of hilarious.
I didn't think it was bad, by any means (I actually liked it better than either AD this week), but it lacked that certain over-the-top element that has made every other episode a stand-out. But hey, if this is a mediocre episode from them it's pretty darn good. Better than stellar episodes from most other shows.
the ONLY thing redeeming the Charlize Theron stuff for me is the utter hilarity of one of the most well known Canadian comic icons (Dave Thomas) playing a British guy. But then again, it's only us Canadians who find this the funniest thing ever :)
Yeah, see, I don't find that very funny. Mostly because his British accent annoys me. Charlize Theron needs to get off the show right the hell now, because the show is still hilarious in every scene she's not in.

It's not showing in most places now, mostly because it didn't do well at the boxoffice - it didn't make back what it cost to make.

Tissa, someone who works in the industry, explained it all here.
