re: Prison Break. I know! I want to see Michael save his girlfriend NOW! Ahhh! Also, every scene with Michael and Sucre this week was kind of priceless. :)

And I think I heard Charlize Theron is going to stick around for, like, five episodes or something. Which is a shame cause she has a terrible British accent.

Oh noes! Five episodes? And that accent came and went at will, it seemed.

I've been kinda bored with PB and every single episode I've kinda just been waiting for it to end. Until this one. Now I'm really looking forward to seeing the continuation.

Yeah, I think I read something where she actually contacted the AD people saying she loved the show and was wondering if she could guest on it, and they only had this British character and they gave it to her. Something like that.

I'm kind of worried about that cat, too. As soon as I saw it in the first episode I figured it was a gonner, and now I'm afraid they're going to kill it! It's a poor defenseless kitty in the middle of a prison riot! ...Also, I hope the doctor doesn't get hurt. Heh.

Well, I can certainly understand loving AD, because who doesn't? But I didn't like her in the role. At all.

See, I don't think the cat is going anywhere, because there are few things that will upset an audience more than animals or babies being hurt. And I second your afterthought of the doctor not being hurt. Can't have Michael be all bereft and missing his girlfriend, now can we? Hee!

I think the problem with Charlize's character is her big secret, which if all hints play out (the word "stupid" appeared a few times), is probably that she is mentally retarded.

That, at least, would explain her non-responsiveness and 'deer in the headlights' reactions. But it salvages her character only in retrospect, not in advance. There is some potential comedy gold in that character, but it could also go horribly, horribly wrong.

Oh, now that would actually make it more interesting. But only if the audience is in on the joke while Michael is kept in the dark. As it played out I just thought Charlize's acting was bad.

And yes, this has disaster written all over it. But if anyone can pull it off it's AD. I just hope they haven't been too clever for their own good.

I think the biggest problem this show ever has involved its guest stars

E.g. Martin Short.

For the first time ever I was genuinely unhappy to see an episode end. In fact, there may or may not have been shouts of "No!" that startled the cat.

I know! I was all, "Wait a sec. Why are they zooming in on her like that? Are they...wait, shit, they're not going to-dammit!!"

E.g. Martin Short.
E.g. Ben Stiller.

But the Braff was a good fit, as was Julia Louis-Dreyfuss. It's a crapshoot, it seems.

I couldn't believe they were leaving me with a cliffhanger! And they started their season early, so now I'm living in fear of them taking their hiatus early too. Though I guess that could be easily rectified by looking up the air date for the next episode, but...eh. I'm way too excited about VM to bother with anything so trivial.

I thought Ben Stiller was pretty good. I liked most of the guest stars, pretty much, except for Martin Short.

I liked Ben Stiller earlier in his career, but since Zoolander he's started doing that same over-the-top comedy thing that Martin Short does. I just don't find it funny, at least not on AD, where they play it so deadpan you sometimes wonder if they get the jokes themselves.

And I thank you for it. Can you believe I've had to wait...three years is it? And now I have to endure an entire month of dodging spoilers left and right.

amen about Charlize. i don't see any reason for her character. as for her accent, well considering she grew up in South Africa she should be able to pull off a slightly better british for gosh sakes. aside from her i thought the concept of Wee Britain was cute.

I didn't think her accent was necessarily bad (but I'm a terrible judge of accents) it was just very sketchy. One minute she had one, the next she didn't. Weird.
