Delurk here!

Snurching hecatehatesthat's idea and declaring this International Delurking Day!

Tell me something about yourselves. If you're like me and have a hard time thinking up anything, here are three questions:

  1. Where are you from originally and where do you live now?
  2. What are your favorite three TV shows of all time (I decided it was too cruel to just ask for one)?
  3. Read more... )

i'm originally from huntsville, TX (yes, prison city USA), but now i live in austin.

BtVS, twin peaks, & law & order in its various incarnations. but i can watch some farscape too.

my dream vacation would be a relaxed vacation in NYC or london in which i would not have to slum in youth hostels. it would need to be pretty expense-paid, but i would like it to be long & liesurely enough that i could spend extended amounts of time in museums, sightsee, people watch, and shop, instead of franticly trying to do all at once.

I didn't know Huntsville was Prison City, USA. Though it is Texas so I'm not surprised.

I'm quite surprised that you like Law & Order because that show has never appealed to me. I'm bored out of my skull anytime I watch it. What about it do you like?

All expenses paid is of course a given. I'm not much of a beach person usually, but living in Sweden you need some warmth come summer. And you're not always guaranteed to get it here.

1. I was born in California but I don't consider myself from there. I think of myself as being from University Place, WA (as I lived there for 12 years) but now I go to college in Boston and just go back to WA for breaks.

2. The X-Files, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Farscape

3. All around the United Kingdom. I reeeeaally want to go to London, but it would be silly just to go there and ignore the rest of England plus Wales/Ireland/Scotland.

Okay, I'm crap at US state name abbreviations... Is WA Washington? Because that's the only one I can think of that fits.

I'm surprised by how many people don't list Farscape as one of their favorite shows, and by how many people still list X-Files, considering how disgruntled fans were by the last few seasons.

I've been to the UK all of once, when I was ten. My only memory of it is that my father almost got into a car accident right after we drove off the ferry. Driving on the wrong side is not easy.

Yes, WA is Washington. Sorry about that!

The last few seasons of X-Files weren't so good, but I got into the show when I was 11 and it's sort of stuck with me. I'm sure a lot of people are that way. I haven't even seen the entirety of Farscape and it's still one of my favorite shows. Go figure.

1: Born in London and still living here now.

2: Buffy/Angel (they *so* count as one), Firefly, Alias.

3: I would love to go to Egypt. The mythology fascinates me.

Although I have not seen the show, the Lost icons are gorgeous. Particularly #5.

I'd go one further and write Jossverse, just to clear up a third spot for X-Files. (Second would be Farscape.)

I'd love to see the pyramids, Luxor and the Valley of Kings (is that what it's called in English? I can never remember.) I'd probably want to go to Greece first though, that mythology has always fascinated me.

Glad you liked the Lost icons. =)

1. I was born and raised in USA, but I am now residing in the Philippines for almost 10 years now.
2. Friends, Alias & Whose Line Is It, Anyway? But I have some other deep obssessions for some other shows.
3. Europe. I want to go to Europe.

God, I love those icons. And I haven't even seen the damn show.

The Philippines, that's interesting. I've seen you mention it, but you don't really give off the impression of living anywhere exotic like that. Of course for you it's probably not exotic at all.

Where in Europe would you want to go? The regular places like London, Paris, the French Riviera, or lesser-known spots like Luxembourg, Prague and Poland?

It's definitely a nice place to visit. In my opinion, we have better beaches than Hawaii. You watch TAR 5, right? You'll get a sneak peek of one of our beaches, Palawan. :)

Anywhere in Europe, actually. My current dream is to go to Greece though.

1. Where are you from originally and where do you live now?: From Russia, but lived in States, then again Russia and now in the Middle East, but dreaming to go back to Russia. Ha!

What are your favorite three TV shows of all time (I decided it was too cruel to just ask for one)?: NO. Even three is too hard. BTVS, Wonderfalls, Dead Like Me. But I love alot of others. Grrr.

What's your dream vacation? (Meaning: where would you go? Would it be an adventure trek or are you like me and would be lying face down on a beach somewhere? Any particular culture you're interested in?): Well, right now I want to go anywhere where it snows or rains. I haven't seen either in like a year.

Huh, most people dream of returning to the US. Except for me, of course, I couldn't imagine ever living there again.

I do agree that even three is hard, but one would just be mean. =)

It must be awful to not see precipitation for so long, but right now, with rain pouring down at all times, it sounds like heaven to me.

I really couldn't ever see myself living there. Right now I'm sort of in some problems, so I can't go to Russia and I don't want to stay here and have thought about going to the States, but it seems like an awful idea and I don't know if I could actually survive, LOL.

Are you American then and moved out? If so, it's not really likely to see alot of Americans out of America, so that's sort of amazing!

Yes, it's awful. It's terribly hot here. +60 at times. I never go anywhere because I always almost pass out from the heat. It'll cool down soon. But still there'll be no rain or snow or anything. :/
