I really, really, really dislike the new artwork. One of the things that stands out about Iszoloscope is that it's never overly spooky. Dark forests full of tall trees are spooky, but they're spooky because of what you imagine might be in the forest. If your album cover had a bunch of trees and a big spooky monster behind the trees it wouldn't be spooky at all.

The new artwork (with the figure in it) is so overwhelmingly in-your-face trying-to-be-spooky, that it completely destroys the aesthetic you have. It's exactly the kind of album cover that would put me off buying an artist that I haven't heard before.

This isn't to say anything at all about the artwork itself, which could be very cool in a different context; as band art, though, it really undermines Iszoloscope.

What in christ's name are you talking about. Perhaps we're not looking at the same artwork. I'm looking at this:
new art
and it's plenty scarey.

However, if you're talking about the giegerish picture... yeah, sort of agree. It's a little too typical. However, people seem to like typical, it makes them feel safe.

cool man. i think the biggest advantage of switching over to OS 10 is your ability to use Logic. i've had limited exposure to it in the past, but the advantages over other host / sequencing environments is easily apparent. looking forward 2 hearing ur new stuff! really digging the Memmaker album :)
