Riley O'Dannihugh was steamingWith a temper like his, everyone he passed knew it very well and those that didn't were promptly pushed out of the way as he stormed up to Headmistress Blackmore's office

The doors opened at his knock, precisely because Marion had entreated the Head Boy to come to her office only a short time before.
"Riley, I'm glad you've come. I have an important request to ask of you," she started, and then turned to greet him, immediately taking note of the expression lurking on his face.
"You moved one of my best mates out of my house. That's the problem!" He wanted to tell her, but decided it best to keep his thoughts to himself. Riley knew from previous experiences what trouble running his mouth got him.
After a short pause Riley finally murmured a calm, "No, Miss.", and stepped into the room with his hands deep in his pockets.
She considered him for a moment, and then waved off the thought, assuming he'd mention it if it was something truly important.
"I did. I have a favor to ask of you. I am sure that you're aware of the fact that Slytherin is decidedly not in the lead for house points yet this term," she stated, lowering herself properly into a chair and motioning for Riley to take another one available nearby.
"I'm counting on you to influence the others in any way you can toward this goal, but I'd also like you to take someone under your wing, so to speak," she advised him, postponing the name for as long as she felt necessary.
That name. Harry Potter. It echoed through his head and pushed out any other thought he previously had. It was bad enough that the boy was shaming the good name of his house, but now this?
His eyes stayed on the Headmistress for a few moments before looking down at the hands folded neatly on his lap. Riley pulled them apart, rapping his fingers on his knees before looking back up.
"Harry Potter?" He asked as if there might have been some kind of mix up, "Surely, Miss Blackmore, you couldn't be....."
