I have decided to become a vegan.

Last night, Ted and I watched the "Chew On This" DVD that was sent to me with my Vegetarian recipes that I requested from P.E.T.A (specifically goveg.com). Alright, so bieng a vegan is tough. Im transitioning between vegetarianism and veganism. I have some info from peta and the like about exactly what some ingredient names mean, because it can be tricky. Sometimes you dont even know you are eating an animal product. I will bring it over on movie night, though you may already have it. Cant hurt. Also, join some vegan recipe lj communities, theyre a huge help. Whenever you feel up to going out to eat let me know, my brother says Mother Of India on J street has all vegan/vegetarian food on thursdays nights and its really good. Im sure you know of Whole Foods, the co-op, and the like.

Silk vanilla soy milk is good. 8th continent chocolate soy milk is way better than real chocolate milk could ever get even close to being. Instead of eating ice cream, I eat sorbet, you can get it at safeway for fairly cheap too!

Oh oh and if you are a broke ho like me, join the lj community cheapvegan its the best.

ive had some soy ice cream and it was niiiice. tofurkey sandwich.. yummy!

dont you find it a bit odd that there are meatless products that taste and smell like meat? its like.. fooling ourselves....

i watched that video. and it was HORRIBLE. i think i'll turn vegan, too. That was sickening.

I know. After 5 minutes, I had to turn my head away.. and even then, the sounds of animal lamentations broke me. I couldnt ignore it.
