The big essay on attitudes to death in the 12th century is written. Finally. It's been a stressful couple of weeks, but it's nearly over. I'll probably do a bit more tweaking before it's handed in on Monday, but that's it ( Read more... )

Wow, that's a really exciting essay topic! I can't believe they've messed you around so much with the exam though.

The full title was 'To what extent did attitudes to death in the 12th century reflect “a discovery of the individual”?'. I basically went to my lecturer and said I wanted to write about death, and it was for a course on identity. Et voila!

Uni admin seems utterly rubbish. We've been messed about quite a bit in general - lecturers being told the wrong room and turning up very late, others not turning up at all due to 'problems with their calendar', trips clashing with lectures and having to be cancelled, other trips going ahead but with information given at the last minute (particularly annoying that we weren't warned well ahead of time that we'd have to arrange and pay for our own transport!)....

Sorry, this reply has turned into a massive rant!
