My very only little sexually transmitted diseases.
- *dies laughing* If that's not the best description of kids I've heard, then my name's not Angela.

I've decided I'm going to go to university next year *beams*
- *cheers* Go you!!

Right now, I think I'm happy.
- *hugs* Good.

"At the moment I'm leaning toward courses like English, and History, and Art History. You know, all those nice useless ones that get you no where in the real world and end up landing you a nice McDonald's job."

"Learning for its own sake" is sometimes a better deal than studying something dull just because it might be useful career-wise. Better to take at least a few interesting/fun papers for personal fulfillment, rather than devoting the whole of uni to tedious drudgery :)

If one is doing a subject just to be useful career-wise and finds it dull, perhaps the job isn't quite the right one for the person. I'd agree taking some interesting papers amongst the ones which will be useful is good but one has to be careful they don't end up only doing purely fun papers. Otherwise one might as well get a library card and internet connection, as they're a lot cheaper than a uni course not to mention more tailored to ones interests and skill levels.

The library: learn your way, at your pace and at times which suit you.
Like the "elite fitness" gym ad but for education

Yay for ambitions! Plus you can apply for a student allowance and YAY for regular income!

Aaaah uni... I had the passing thought of doing a post-grad thing when I get back, but then... eeeh... I dunno. Maybe not.
