The Libs wil never recover their reputation. It is permanently damaged and their association with the AV campaign is what is IMO the reason the "Yes" campaign will lose.

Why vote for a policy backed by that particular bunch of lying, unprincipled hypocritical cunts?

Possibly not arguments I agree with, but both valid points.

No, you're not a Bell End if you vote against AV, you're a Bell End if you do it for crappy reasons. But then your a Bell End if you vote for AV because you don't like the conservatives, or because Eddie Izzard said you should.

I have seen what effect a type of AV has brought to Scottish Elections. The result is small parties I might disagree with e.g. the Greens Have made some good impact. To me this is democracy, since everyone gets representation no matter if you agree or disagree with their parties.
