Hopefully Matt won't mind me dredging up his evidential post from RPGnet in 2002. Funny to see GMS was being a bit of a dick back then too. Sorry I don't know you and I have not read the book, but, it seems pretty crazy that an industry which is historically riddled both in sterotype and reality with misogynist detail is going after a spoof book that acknowledges and defines itself as a joke considering some of the other material out there. :/

I suppose it makes you a soft target that you have placed a disclaimer on the book rather than blissfully pressing onwards with hot elf space babes in chainmail bikinis like many RPG books.

Having actually read Slayers Guide to Amazons -which is admittedly the only RPG book I have ever seen with a centrefold -I would like to ask, did that receive accusations of sexism? Or was that regarded as tongue in cheek/or otherwise acceptable?

I'm afraid I don't know 'Bina. I wasn't involved in that one. Knowing the Mongoose lads I'm sure the centrefold was intended with tongue firmly in cheek, even if the rest of the book was not.
