Verdict is in..."acute pre-patellar bursitis"

Went to the orthopedic surgeon this afternoon, and he was unable to draw out much fluid from the knee. Believe you me, this little procedure was no walk in the park...."nuff said. It seems it is mostly congealed blood that will not come out in a syringe. So...I have to treat my knee with hot compresses four times a day for thirty minutes in order

What caused the initial swelling?

N ot sure...Coulda been a bump to the knee I just didn't notice earlier in the day or just kneeling on it weird while I was working on something. All I know is the swelling became very noticeable around the middle of yesterday afternoon . And by the time I got home was really severe.

Yes I'm looking forward to getting out. And the pain is not as bad most of the time. It's mostly sore right now from penetration and probing of the tissue by very large gauge needles.

I think I'm gonna try and make it out tomorrow evening for Twinkledome. I was not getting too much discomfort this evening while I was out.

We'll do our best to make you comfortable. Might I suggest the lounge chairs on the patio, they are just too easy to sit in . . . I hope you can make it but please do what's best for your knee. We aren't made with extras!
