Thank you for bringing this mis-key to my attention. I'm curious why you don't simply leave a brief message on a person's journal like: You misspelled [word]. Isn't it more time consuming to create a journal, troll LJ for spelling errors, add people, and then respond to 10,000 angry comments? Also, if it is not your "job" to correct the spelling errors of others, how did it become your job to point them out in the first place? How did you come to make this distinction?

That being said, your journal could be made much more interesting were you to share more thoughts, articles, etc. on language, wordsmithing, and education. I suppose this would only be interesting to you if you actually have a passion for language arts and aren't just bored and trying to be inflammatory.

And remember! Others not finding your sense of humor humorous does not imply that they do not possess one at all.

Cheers,

Girl who misspelled "Lewis Carroll"

This takes far less time. I choose a misspelled interest, run a directory search, then add the people who have recently updated their journal. I then post my entry. This all takes perhaps ten minutes per day. Sending each individual person a message would be much more time consuming.

Thank you for your suggestion and have a nice day.

Thanks for the notice. Initially I was going to fly into a rage of intellectual self-righteousness (as I obsessively word checked my interests) but then realized that I was completely guilty of the misspelling. How embarrassing. Rectified
