You know when Doakes was all disgusted about Dexter cutting that dude up in front of him? I was going, OMG! Dont be such a baby! LOL.
I think the reason why is "ok" for us to be all "so hes chopping up someone, pass the chips" is because we know its a TV show and all fake, even if we're not thinking it at the time.
You know what I really liked about the episode? Dex suddenly realizes that its not just *him* who is going to suffer if he gets caught. I like that hes got/getting a bit of feeling for those around him. That being said though I was watching S1 the other day, and hes really not the same Dexter, I think I might like him with less emotions.
It's very complex, to the point where I don't even know what I want to say about it. I love that it makes me think it's both wrong and right all at the same damn time. *Agrees totally*

Same, it was a nice realization. The other thing I liked as much was that we finally get to SEE someone reacting to Dexter too, on the show. It kind of brings a small bit of reality maybe to us, the audience, who just loves and sort of idealizes the cute serial killer.
