Since I've been downloading music basically only to my laptop these days, my ipod isn't up to date since it's synced with my desktop. And with me moving, all I'll have is my laptop, so it's for the best if all my music and ipod stuff is with it

You dont have to erase everything to sync it. You can have it so you can manually upload everything. Thats how I have mine because I was forever moving songs from my laptop because of harddrive space.

And also? If you do that then you dont need anyone to hold you. LOL.

Well, it's done now thankfully. But I really don't like the manually managing option, so I don't think I would have went for that anyway.

I have the same problem with my iPod...it's synched to my parents computer not the one I use at my apartment...and I haven't found the courage to "erase and sync" yet, lol

It did work! But I did spend a lot of time making sure my music was on the right computer first...and making sure nothing was missing. It's a huge P.I.T.A. but it seems fine. *phew*
