This whole telling Buffy I have a date with some guy I met in the CD store could go okay, or it could go the way I expect, which is generally not good. She's still really less than thrilled with me wanting to stay with Xander in L.A. instead of her in Rome...but it's not like she has any time for me anyway, so I might as well be somewhere I stand

So, the meeting with Angel? It went okay. He at least looked like he ran a decent operation. And despite the last bit of word vomitness, it went pretty well. So, we hadn't had all the time in the world to catch up. I'm not even sure how we would be able to do that. Catching up was not really easy to do.

I see Dawn coming from the opposite towards Xander's apartment. I smile towards her. She looks like as if she may be finally happy and that really is why we're here. She deserves to be happy - and if she likes LA? Even if I have to suffer months without my sister.

"Hey, Dawnie." I said as we met at the front door of Xander's apartment. "How was the mall? Sufficient amount of pretty shoes?"

"Right, 'cause I came back to America to look at all the Italian shoes in the mall?" I asked her, laughing. "Went to the CD store, actually. Relished in all the excesses of North American Teen Culture for a bit. Then in characteristic me style made a giant fool of myself in front of a hot guy."

Which was true. All of it. I figured I'd work her up to the whole concept of me having a date with said hot guy in a few minutes. One thing at a time, given that I know she's so less than thrilled about being in L.A.

"Sounds like fun. Did the hot guy notice?" I asked with a laugh towards her. She seemed not to be embarrassed about any of it which means either a) the guy didn't notice what ever she did that was foolish or b) the guy thought it was cute.

Nice distraction from the good percentage of boys around here who may or may not be interested in me... talk about boys with Dawn.

"Oh! Before I forget, I reserved dinner for you, me and Xander at that place we always eat at while we're in LA." I commented.

"Oh, Buffy..." I practically whimpered. "I kinda can't go." I told her sighing. This wasn't going at all how I'd planned. Besides, already spent most of the day engulfed in the weirdness that was the Buffy and Xander show at the moment.

"The hot guy, Connor? We kinda have dinner plans, and movie plans, and coffee plans..." I said quickly, "It's this big date plan we had. I mean, I have his phone number and I guess I could call him and tell him we can't do the dinner part of the plan tonight, but he's supposed to be here in like an hour."

Okay. She was gonna kill me. It was gonna be like I never existed...just gone from the face of the earth. I should have been asking if the plan was okay instead of telling her thats what I was doing but she kinda backed me into a corner, so what else was I supposed to do.

"Are you mad?" I asked hesitantly.
