Today the kids had a school project that involved a July calendar printed off the internet. The project itself was extremely boring, but that calendar made me aware of the fact that we have some pretty interesting holidays coming up this July. Among these holidays are

When's Cow Appreciation day? If I'm in town, I want to make sure I stop by R barn and appreciate the cows. :)

On Ugly Truck day, is it legal to deface hummers? For so long now, I've wanted to give them all bumperstickers that say "I'm a greedy bastard", or "I love expensive gas, global warming, AND war!"

On the plus side, there are way fewer hummers in Amherst than there are in Chicago. Also fewer cars.

Aw...ya just missed CANADA Day!!

Although, at my office we have a calendar of scantily-clad theatre professionals doing various backstage duties in rather suggestive poses - painting sets, hanging lights, taking tickets etc. Happily, all of their naughty bits are strategically covered up.
