When you said you were not going to use this journal to keep us up to date on the interesting (for you and perhaps those who know you) and complex weave of your 'life's rich tapestry' (Jon's Mum cited by Jon, 2002; 2003), were you excluding ‘posting Kayla’s presents’? Posting mail has been understood by many academics as ‘the everyday or mundane’ and ‘part of the vernacular’ (Nash 2000). Thus, perhaps you should consider a reassessment of your original aims and intensions for this journal ( ... )

When I used the phrase 'Life's rich tapestry' (My Mum 2002;2003), I was indeed not referring to the posting of mail, which I agree with you and Nash 2000 should be considered 'part of the vernacular', however as with many thinkers of all persuasions and ages, the philosophy which I espouse was not the product of an instantaneous epiphany, more a process of evolution. Whereas in my earlier entries inconsistencies occur, as my thinking has evolved, I believe that these inconsistencies have become fewer. This process of response, rectification and clarification is not just used by amateur philosophers such as myself but also by such philosophical greats as: John Rawls 'A Theory of Justice' (1971) to 'Political Liberalism'(1995); Ludwig Wittgenstein 'Tractatus Logico Philosophicus' (1922) to 'Philosophical Investigations' (1953) to name but a few ( ... )

Firstly I would like to commend you for the 'process of response, rectification and clarification' that you assume. It is a social sequence that is essential for everyone (unless they wish to be stuck in an antisocial ‘baby like’ outlook) and generally taken for granted. I am happy I could be of assistance to you in this process and must confess I too have a certain interest in the problamatizations it throws up ( ... )

Thankyou very much for your offer of assistance in my 'process of response, rectification and clarification', your opinion on such matters is of great value to me. I will be delighted to be helped by such an eminent academic as yourself ( ... )
