Yay American League!

And the one Cubs representative getting hurt before the All-Star game is just too funny. But seriously, I hope Zambrano won't have to miss any games. I've just always thought getting hurt in the All-Star game would be the worst thing ever. I hadn't considered getting hurt while giving an interview before the game.

Dang, it's too bad the Astros didn't win. The good Astro fans were all hyped for the first home game of the first World Series for Houston. They stayed up until 1:30 AM with this fourteen inning game. If a game is going to last that long, it would be nice for the home team to win it. I don't know why this took my so long to write in my journal, but the White Sox won the pennant for the first time since 1959! Happy day!

Now Chicago only has one sucky baseball team. :p The Cubs haven't won the National League pennant since 1945. And no, they wouldn't have won even if that poor guy didn't interfere and get run out of Chicago.

The Sox lost. Boo on them, but at least that will make the series longer. I guess sweeping the Angels wouldn't be too much fun.

Fortunately, I wasn't watching the Sox game. Bryce and I went to the Wallace and Gromit movie with Kim and Dan. I thought tobyferret was exaggerating with how laugh-out-loud funny it is. She wasn't. It is freakin' hilarious ( Read more... )

Very long day. I didn't have a chance to sleep after church today. We met my grandma, uncle, his wife and children for a Royals game (this is the uncle who's son just died.
