About the straws. When I got my wisdom teeth out, the dentist said NOT to use straws because the pressure can create infection or something IDK. Check with your dentist! So I drank out of a plastic measuring cup using the funnel end and it worked out okay.

Oh, I didn't know that! Good thing I didn't have any straws! And by now my lips are back to normal and I can drink without a problem. :-)

I am seriously and stupidly tempted to travel to your town just to get that seemingly good dentist now. And like that you have an 11 icon. Numb lips made me feel like I actually had no right jaw, it is very interesting indeed. Have some nice days off!

I wouldn't do that, my regular dentist isn't all that great with her stupid comments (I should try to get yet another dentist). The one who did the surgery was someone else, she was nice, but I hopefully won't see her again.

Pretty much all of my upper lip was numb and part of my lower lip. The surgery was done on my left front tooth. So, pretty awkward.

Good to hear everything went well! Next time (preferably in summer and after you've been "worked on" only on one side) try eating some ice cream while half of your tongue is numb. It's the most fascinating feeling... ^^

Hehe, I have to try that next time I'm in a numb face situation. It sounds interesting. I should have eaten some ice cream today since I'm only allowed to eat cold and "lauwarmes" food.
