I'm back home from my fabulous fannish weekend with trobadoraUnfortunately the weekend was way too short, but we had lots of fun. Talked a lot, watched a lot (Sarah Conner Chronicles, Dollhouse, Neverwhere ♥♥♥), went to three different Starbucks... :-D ( Read more... )

also, having tomorrow off is brilliant. you could play WOW and have the oscars on in the background, to follow them with half an ear and eye...

Usually I don't have a problem at least watching something, but this time not even that. Bleh. It makes for a very boring train ride when you can't read or watch anything! *hugs back*

I haven't really seen any of the movies that are nominated.

That's the same thing I'm thinking. It isn't really that much fun when you don't know half of the things people are nominated for. I'll probably start watching and then get so annoyed by the frequent commercial breaks that I'll go to bed. *g*

So, did you watch it? I managed to see all of it (while playing WoW). The commercial breaks suck!

I did. Until my eyes started to hurt anyway, which happened around the time they gave away the post-production awards, effects and editing. So I taped the rest and watched part of that today, but there hadn't been enough space on the cassette, so it cut off after direction. I liked what I saw, overall, but the commercial breaks did indees suck. And I had the feeling that they varied in length, too (but that could be just my imagination), so you never new when to zap back in.

They did vary in length. The most annoying thing was that they had commercial breaks at least every other minute! WTF? The show could have been easily half as long if they'd had less commercial breaks.
