Oh, now that is gorgeous.

I started a photoblog but the first bunch will be photos from the trip I just took across the US and they won't be technically anything to write home about...just nice, average travel pics to amuse my friends. I'll get around to artsier stuff when I get tired of going through travel photos.

I added your photoblog to my friends list. I do not always prefer photos that are techincally perfect. Travel photos are among my favorites, and they are usually not that techincal. I would love to see your travel photos also because I would love to travel across the US with my camera someday. I can dream when looking at your photos. :) I love the cows.

Thank you....The sad thing is that I had a photo disaster in which my machine was so broken that I couldn't back up the nearly 2000 photos I took while on that 6,000-mile jaunt across and around the US last month, and I lost most of them when I had to reinstall my OS. Teach me not to use a tape backup! Even backing up to server and DVD was not enough to save them. Mweh. It's the loss of the ones I took in Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas that really hurt. Astounding landscape! I highly recommend getting one of the Amtrak railpasses and doing a phototrip, but you need to have a good image stabilizer and choose your routes carefully. If you go coach and the route doesn't have an observation car, you can't guarantee a window seat or an electrical outlet so that you can download photos to your laptop (if you're doing that instead of leaving them on memory-storage devices). I went "first class" and took a room, but that was expensive; about $US2000 for the whole shebang, which was down the west coast from Washington to California, across the
