Oh man. I hate asthma attacks like that! I'm glad you got the nebulizer though. Hopefully the hives and itching clear up soon. I am glad that you're better.

Thanks!

Sorry for the late reply. I totally hate thinking about that day. I've never felt anything like that, and I hope I never do again.

You're a fellow traveler on the Asthma Highway, I take it?

Yup. Mine's tied to my allergies. I always carry my rescue inhaler. It's like my version of the American Express card: I don't leave home without it. *G*

That sucks! I hope you feel better, and I wish you well in escaping nut-related stuff in the future.

So far, it seems to only be almonds :/

My favorite nuts. Well, they tie with cashews. All other nuts, I'm indifferent to. I'll bet I'm allergic to cashews, too. My luck runs like that. Hell--I'll probably turn out to be allergic to oxygen and water, too!

Yeah. I tossed everything I own with almonds. Which, thankfully, isn't much. Some creamer, a couple of candy bars--even some almond-y body wash that smelled really nice. . . .

Why couldn't it be lima beans I was allergic too?

Jeez, no kidding.
*Lima* beans.

Goodness. I assume you are taking Bendryl or something for the hives. I keep some on hand at all times for my allergies. They are just for peppers - which I can never stay out of - but luckily my reactions are not nearly as severe as yours.

My girls went to Pride in SF. The sunburns are awful, but they had a great time. Glad you had fun. Take care of yourself and I'll you for more FW later. *g*

Heard the word but never used Benadryl--some kinda anti-hives meds? Meh, hopefully, I'll never need it. I'm steering clear of almonds . . . or as I now call them, bastard-nuts.

Hah, that looks so dirty!

The hives went away about eighteen hours later. It was a fun night, lemme tell ya.

I keep meaning to post a few pictures from pride. . . .

I'll bet Pride in SF was amazing. No sunburn for me, lol. But aching feet, and bruised junk? Cheeeeeee-eck!

You should get an EPT pen from your doctor....really and truly. It'll get you to the hospital during a severe attack.

EPT pen? Will wiki it, and ask the doc. My next appointment is in September.

Honestly, for such an expensive nut, almonds are in a lot of food.
