They really are. Stupid in the same ways, stubborn in the same ways. The gulf between them is getting wider even as odd bits of them bleed across that gulf. Steven's nightmares and memories into Connor's waking life, and Connor's relative stability sanding down Steven's edges.
Connor's getting the short end of the stick, keeping the inside from getting out so Steven can have a sorta-normal life, and Spike can remain un-murdered. And Steven's just dumb (loyal) enough to lay down that "it's both of us or neither of us" ultimatum.
Angst :D
And poor Spike. Turning to the bloody Council.
I like to think I painted him into a nice corner. Two, actually. He finally found a way to make them sleep, but it back-fired when they refused to wake up. No help to be had from doctors--or folks from the magical community, since he doesn't know who to trust. That only leaves the Council. Well, Buffy, really. She might be jerky sometimes, but she doesn't screw people over, and that's something.
Damn youse. Teh angst, it burns. Why's everybody i luff gotta make my boys suffer? *curls up and hides*
Um. I have no plans for angsty fic anytime soon. Heh. I have two Sweet Charity i must write. And Andy? Hrmmmmmm. I dunno. Possibly. I *like* Andy.
I wanna write more in the South China Sea 'verse, but i *must* do the Sweet Charity! OMG! I'm not all buddies with the winners and i can't let it slide. Like yours. *hides in shame*
At least when it's all redeemable. It makes the happy ending better!

Andy's a cool-burger, covered in awesome sauce, with a side of aw-right! Instead of being murdered, he should've gotten his own spinoff. That would've been pretty cool. Him and the lighting boy.

No shame-hiding! Shame pie-mailing is cool (no rhubarb, I hate rhubarb), but no hiding. Besides, I owe you fic, as well. And it'll probably be kinda angsty, since I'm not allowed to go there for the ficathon fic. Seriously--my assignment is literally to make one of the two characters least likely to be engaged in that sort of thing, into a secret santa! And she wants warm-fuzzies! She isn't opposed to cuddling! ::is horrified::
If I can produce such a saccharine fic, the backlash will show in everything else I write. Beware! ::dashes off into the night::
