*sigh*

I stand corrected. Turns out the Killer Roach of D00m was not the most nauseating sight I would behold today. No, that dubious honor belongs solely to McClaren's England. Thanks for that, Steve.

At least there is a silver lining: Ashley 'Toilet' Cole will be suspended for the next match and possibly injured himself as well. My ritual ( Read more... )

Yeah, I'm resigning myself to seeing the funny side as well. I'd actually been expecting a loss since I saw the formation and the players Macca picked. Would have been nice to be wrong, though!

actually, and i didn't expect to say this, i felt sorry for him! Bless, it's a shame when stuff like that happens, cos all his great saves are immediately forgotten about!

Oh, I absolutely feel sorry for poor Robbo, especially considering how he'd kept England in the game otherwise. It really cheesed me off how McClaren said the second goal killed them off--no, you muppet, it was their total inability to create any threat whatsoever. Grr.

Anyway, when I said I was trying to see the funny side I just meant the fact that the only shot on target England could muster was on their own goal!

I don't give a toss why he did it; I'm just glad that McClaren will now be forced to play a left-back who can actually defend, knows when to attack without leaving gaping holes behind, and can cross to a teammate in the box instead of the corner flag.

LOL! I think I should feel bad about rejoicing that one of our lads got injured, club and country. But I don't. C'mon Bridgey!!!

Pshaw! Guilt is for the weak! ;)

I don't feel at all bad, either; in fact I did a little Dance of Joy (tm) right at my desk when I saw the news. As far as I'm concerned Cashley has yet to prove himself as 'one of our lads' anyway. He can start working on that in the reserves while Bridgey goes out and shows the world who really deserves to be known as the best left-back in England!

You are a voice of truth and reason. I still really grates that he is a Chelsea player.
