So, my f-list has been awesome and I need to count the ways :)

First off, nolagal wrote on of her advent drabbles based on my Lily/Scamander Twins art!!! I dunno HOW she managed to get it so HOT AND STEAMY in 100 words, but this is why I do the drawing and leave much more talented people to the written PR0NZ. Thank you, Nolagal!!! Go read it here!!And ( Read more... )

Congratulations on getting your rings!

I know how you feel about the weight loss thing. I've been trying to lose weight for a few months, I lost 3.5kg at one stage but have now pput nearly all of it back on again.

If your current motivation and goal is for you to try and run around your apartment complex, I think that's great.

Have fun at the in-laws for the holidays!

What's help my motivation even more is that we've made a new best friend on our walks -- the most ADORABLE black kitty with a milk mustache. We walk during the same time she's waiting for her mom to get home, and she's taken to sassing us thoroughly when we pass by. We finally met her mom (who apologized for the cat "attacking us" as we walked, but we always stop and give her tons of love) and found out she was 7 (!!! i guess she was the runt. she's smaller than our small-sized 2-year-old cats!) and her name's Xena (or maybe Zeena? I'm assuming warrior princess).

So walking to go say hi to Xena is a huge motivator ^^

And good luck with any weight loss!! It's so ahrd, and I picked the WORST EVER TIME to start, but in a way it's good cuz I feel like, if I can make it through the holidays, the next 5 months should be a breeze ;)

I'm so pleased you typed my name instead of fandango! Oddly enough, in college, I worked an information helpline and the radio station called me every thursday morning for movie times.

Yay for the rings! They're gorgeous! (and yay for donations for lamda legal)

Good luck on the weight loss! It's something I kind of gave up struggling with and am starting to work at again. You know what you need? A DOG! They needs walks and jogs and playtime! :) Or you can just leash Pickles and Nagini, I'm sure it will work ;)

Also, you and snarky have a package coming in the mail!

LOL!! I just started LAUGHING when I saw what I did, and Tiara was like, "what!? what!??"

So we're thinking of seeing the Princess And The Frog tonight... know when it's playing around here? ;)

Congratulations on the rings, very lovely.

A good brisk walk is every bit as good as jogging, and better for the knees, feet, and stretching, and you can walk longer than you can run. Most important though is that you enjoy what you do.

Thank you! We're very excited about them :) It's such a silly thing, but it'll be nice to have some sort of visceral connection, something I can look down at when I'm at work and think that she's got a matching one on her finger at that very moment... <3 The amusing bit is, 6 years ago she swore up and down she'd never wear any jewelry, and now, SHE was the one pushing for rings ;)

Somedays we do just walk briskly, especially if we can't stop talking, but I try to work in some jogging because I want to get my heart pumping -- it makes me feel like I'm accomplishing something. But you're right about the knees -- I think my knees have a tendency to be a bit sensitive; we bought this work out video that is a GREAT circuit workout, but it's filled with lunges and squats and exercises that put pressure on the knees that made them hurt, so I've stopped that.

At the moment, though, jogging is giving me a goal and a reason to get out there and exercise, so I can only hope my current mentality won't change any time soon!

I love the idea, Draco and I got matching Slytherin ring tattoos but are going to be shopping for rings in the coming year.

I used to run but I have bad knees now so my running days are over, and jogging with its up and down motion is too jarring, I find walking does as much, especially uphill. Funny though I can do lunges and squats, but not so much in the cold. I love in line skating, and all these other warm weather activities, LOL

Thank you!!!! Once we get them we're gonna pic!spam our flist, don't worry XD

OMG I DON'T LIKE GYMS. If they had a Fat Room, that'd be different, but the worst thing in the world is gasping for air at a 0 incline and 4mph on the treadmill while the skinny wench next to you had been jogging at 7 for 20 minutes and hasn't broken a sweat >(

/rant. I mean, it's not her fault I'm a fat slob, but it makes it hard to concentrate on me! Anyway, walking out my door and walking feel more like a choice and less like a punishment than driving to a gym would feel! And good for you going out in the mornings!! I tried it once (literally, once. One morning about 2 years ago we got out and jogged before work. That was the end of THAT endeavor... ;) ) but I've given up hope on EVER being a morning person, no matter how long I've worked at a job that requires me to be up before 10am. I've been doing good going RIGHT after work when I'm tired of sitting on my ass and before I've had a chance to start relaxing at home! I'm hoping I can keep it up!!

*nods* i don't like the other people factor either. i turn head to toe crimson with the slightest exercise, and am clutching my side convinced i've had a heart attack 3 minutes in. it's horrifying.

and don't give me too much credit; by 'morning' i mean 'whenever i wake up' :P i think straight after work is much more an accomplishment! i always succumb to the call of my couch. *g*

LMAO!!!! This is DEFINITELY something to consider! Although if it's a beach wedding, I'm going barefoot!! :D! And perchance, in Canada, we could walk the streets as a married couple with our heads held high? I have this perception that Canadians would eight have something nice to say or not say anything at all ;)

*HUGS!!* We'll pic!spam you once we get the rings on our chubby little fingers! :D!!
