Let me start by saying I am not a worshiper of celebrities. I do have favorite performers. So I am sitting here watching the morning news and they are talking about Michael Jackson. I admit, while I think he is guilty,I also believe the boy and his family are gold diggers.I'm sure the truth lies somewhere in the middle. You have to have some ( Read more... )

I'm with you on Tom Cruise...I used to think he was absolutely gorgeous, and I guess he still is but knowing what I know about him (or what the press says about him) makes him seem less cute than weird to me. Nicole seems like such a sane person...no wonder that didn't last.

As a matter of fact, whenever a celebrity spouts off about beliefs they have that I think are weird (be it religious, political, whatever), I like them less. I realize they have their own opinions just like everybody else and that's great, but somehow I'd just rather they keep us guessing about some things. I just don't like it when celebrities reveal too much of their personal lives.

Tom was doing so well! He was married to Nicole Kidman, dated Penolope Cruz who strikes me as very sophisticated and now he's jumping up and down and grabing Oprah because he "LOVES KATIE!"

he's gone over the edge in my opinion

oh and so has Britney Spears, her new show Chaotic only proves that she may be an amazing performer but she has no class. None. Nada.

I used Tom as an example. For years,I have been a reader of underground press and I have heard persistent rumors that he is gay and that his marriages have been ones of convenience to help his career.Actually if you look at his marriages it does make some sense. The whole Nicole divorce right at the ten year prenup ending was a little too convenient.I am also pretty certain that Nicole isn't a Scientologist. Also the whole Oprah thing just wasn't right. I was speaking to my friends the other day and they told me that they believe me now that maybe he really is gay, just strictly after seeing that ridiculous display on Oprah. I personally don't care how he lives his life, but it does make me look at him differently,if for no other reason than to wonder why he isn't willing to live his life to the fullest when he has the resources to do so. He also did some major slamming of Brooke Shields when she came out about her PostPartum depression and her subsequent addiction to Paxil. If you haven't read it and are interested in the link,I can ( ... )

Nicole is Roman Catholic, and wanted their children raised as such. Tom has completely lost the plot.

As a teen, I was so enamoured of an Aussie band called the Church. Their song lyrics were able to create incredibly beautiful and moving imagery, and did in fact make me feel quite spiritual. When I found out many years later that the lead singer and main songwriter Steve Kilbey was an almost life-long heroin addict, it kind of killed things a bit. I STILL love their music, but it's just a little differnt know. Conversely, I've ALWAYS known Nick Cave was a heroin addict and still liked him.

As for Michael Jackson, I think the saddest part by far, is that even if he is proven to be innocent of child molestation, he CLEARLY has ... well... a few issues. OK, a LOT of issues. And no one close to him has ever suggested he seek help, or even wanted him to have any help, because it's far more profitable to have him seen as "Whacko Jacko".

Tom Cruise is a douche. As far as Micheal Jackson, I'm torn. What he does isn't right even if he isn' sexually molesting them. He's reenacting his youth. He's doing things that would be alright for two prepubescent youths to do together, but there's a major and obvious problem: he is NOT a prepubescent youth. I don't think he's sexually attracted to children. I think the man's completely asexual. He just thinks having enough money and spending years and time playing into a role that he's a young boy or a Peter Pan will make it all true and everyone will be alright with it. What he's doing is wrong but not as wrong as what the parents are doing. Many of them purposely subjected their kids to a man they KNEW had issues like this.. all for money or fame. They make me sick.
