girl talk - novelty album at best

mewithoutyou? why are people always ignoring this band. brother, sister is definitely my favourite album of the year, followed closely by ys. even pithfork ignores them. shit, they've put out three albums and an ep, and they haven't reviewed a single one.

as for mewithoutyou, maybe a reason no one gives them much press/attention is because they are described as "angst-ridden christian punk." i dunno, that just doesn't flick on my light switch.

and would you say the avalanches - since i left you is a novelty album because it basically is in the same vein as girl talk? girl talk ain't novelty, it is just plain awesome and incredibly fun to boot.
