I just boxed up books I wanted to keep, but not wanting them to take up too much space.

Just be organized so you remember where they are once you want them back...

I thought of that! It's tempting to just keep them forever . . . but really, the point is that they aren't actually good books at all, I just like the memories associated with them. Since I know I can't stop myself from buying more books, I'm trying to be good and only keep the ones that I truly love and will read again. And about half the Dragonlance I have really are incredibly horrible works of literature.

You could make a scrap book of all the covers and then you'd still have something to bring back the memories.

I think you should just use the books as the filler in the edges of your bookcases, that way they are: 1) useful 2)not visible in the important space of the shelves and 3) not thrown away.

Don't part with books unless you really have to.
We can even bury them with you so you can read them in the after-life.
