I'm sorry for the late reply - I've been overseas, and since I got back RL has been chewing me up and spitting me out in little pieces. But I'm really happy that you liked this, because A) you're the one who got me really interested in Higa in the first place, and B) you're a fantastic writer. So thank you for the lovely review! You know, my appreciation for Higa is a totally new thing, but this fic really GOT me. I love how HUMAN they all are, their faults, their inner turmoil, Rin's family issues, Kite's parents...Rin's sister was a fantastic character, as was Kite's mother. I love how like a family the TEAM is, how they all stand up for each other without a second thought. I love Rin yelling at the team and Kite thanking him for it because he needed it just as much. I love how long it took Rin to come to terms with it, and the mention of how high school attitudes made it that much harder because that's just so REAL. I LOVE the Atobe/Oshitari cameo, and not just because I love AtoOshi - it fit so well, somehow, and I love what it did to Rin, and how they nudged him forward without being blatant about it. I love how you tied up the thing with Tezuka, and how Kite felt bad about it.

All in all I really just...loved this fic. Thank you so much for sharing. *bookmarks*

I'm sorry for the late reply - I've been overseas and RL has been a bitch. But I'm glad you like this so much! I had a lot of fun writing it, and I'm really happy that you felt it was realistic and enjoyable. (And hooray for Oshitari and Atobe. Hyotei was my first tenipuri love, and I may write other schools but I'll never get over the Hyotei boys. ♥!)

This may be the best Higa-centric fic I've ever read. Definitely the best Rin-PoV.
The tension and the sex and random OshiAto deflowering virgins. All just lovely. ^_^

There were a few editorial-type issues.
Rika became Riza a couple of times, unless that's Rin's mother, in which case, ignore me.
