i'm not entirely sure i should respond to this, but i want to let you know that caring for people i like is, really, just who i am. the biggest difference between the skyler who everyone gets to see & the skyler her friends get to see is that the latter talks a whole lot more. but even the former is the real skyler! i am really bothered by people who are fake, for lack of a better phrase, & i try to be as honest & me as i can, always. & re: the second part: i'm afraid that you'll take back your respect & admiration, but i hardly ever feel like i know what i'm doing with my life. i just know what makes me happy & i try to do that as often as i can & hope everything works out eventually, c:.

re: the first part: This gives me hope in humanity.
re: the second part: I think you don't give yourself enough credit, because knowing what makes you happy is all you really need, and a lot more than most people have. Having a plan and going after what you love are two totally different things, and the second is (in my view) what really living consists.

as far as being shy & not making the first move: to quote the new pornographers [or a.c. newman specifically], "you & me both, kid". which is actually something i am working on [hand-in-hand with the following-up-on-emails-&-comments-&-such thing]! & i promise, i cannot think of one person who could possibly see this post whom i would consider a horrible friend, so you are definitely in the clear, c:. so maybe let's both work on our shyness? i vow to start emailing & messaging & facebook-ing people i haven't spoken with in ages but want to be better in touch with!

& thank you, as far as the rest, c:. i've been feeling so insecure about myself & where i am right now that it's really great to hear a compliment like that. so, truly, thank you. <3
