This week, my friends came back to Dublin from their various weekend trips with adorable gifts and copious amounts of chocolate. There was also a postcard that arrived from Copenhagen! Thank you, dear friends.
wow i only just started using google earth (and at street level) and am really pleased with the heightened level of stalking that provides me but now you have something that tracks people in REAL TIME? wow that is intense and damn i'd love to play with that someday hahahaha.
secondly where's the catch with the kindle? it sounds too good to be true....
yeah the nook is much prettier and offers more, but the one thing it doesn't have is an international 3g network right? i wanted to be able to surf the net for free anywhere i go, and the kindle 2 offers that. it's compatible in singapore! plus there are many features the nook offers - like reading for free in b&n stores - that we can't make use of. i feel like i would be getting less than what i paid for!
haha, aside from the advantages i mentioned above, amazon ebooks are slightly cheaper!! not counting bestsellers (eg. dan brown's lost symbol goes for $9.99 in both stores), most other books are cheaper on amazon. in my boredom, i did a comparison hahaha.
wah wah wah i didnt see that, i replied on my phone hehe. i thought the nook had mp3 capabilities (i just checked the website hehe) also, it has 3g+wifi, but you cant download new books when you're outside of the us.. only your current books/subscriptions get updated when you're on wifi?
i'm so tempted to get one! i somehow feel that i'd read a lot more (is that true?) i'm so torn.. i feel like the nook is so pretty, and probably makes sense since im in the US, but then it would suck not to be able to use it over the summer when im back home too.

- no colour
- internet connection is only as fast as what you'd experience on a mobile phone ie. not too efficient
- at S$360 it's quite expensive
that's about all i can come up with. the new barnes&noble nook is prettier and has colour, but is too us-centric.
