I "downgraded" back to no ads/less icons and picked a new layout that will work for now... I think the thing I hate most about LJ is how they go about making changes to make it better but they never ever give you a choice to keep things the old way. But then again, if I were paying for this I doubt that would have happened... and

I think that's one of my main reasons for reverting to a free account: I'd be getting pissed too often with those kind of imposed changes if I were paying for it.

oh btw forgot to mention: during my 2003 trip to see Björk in Boston, I was thrilled with the underground. Maybe because compared to Detroit's underground Boston's is amazing? Detroit's underground doesn't exist, we don't have underground, unless you count the tunnel that carries car traffic to and from Windsor, Ontario. Detroit's mass transit sucks.

Boston's "T" system is quite useful, however it hardly compares to the tube system of London. Also about half of it is currently under renovations that supposedly are to be finished in 2009... while other transportation system updates that were to be finished in 2005 are still under way... as there were errors made during construction... and yet evidently they are proposing adding an entire new subway line before even finishing current projects O_O. It just all seems so poorly thought out to me, and honestly, kind of scary...

(Boston itself is also much much smaller of a city than London)
