That's bunk. You can't say anything off of the lifestyle of six teens. Noone I have ever met in the "young adult" age group is anything like any of these kids. I'm not very convinced. The only one that was remotely like any group of teens I can think of (my sister and her friends, who are 16-18) is texting alot, and I don't see how that is such a bad alternative to the classic teen hogging up the phone line for 8 hours. I wish everyone actually did have Tivo. It would be pretty sweet to skip commercials. Maybe Tivo is not available in Canada but I have never met or heard of anyone who has it.

Yeah that sampling of youngsters is not at all diverse - they all have the same cell phone carrier even 0_0. Plus they all seem to come from the same social class or something... These kids are all people I would try my best to avoid.

I've had a tivo/replay/dvr for about the past seven years now... but I would not call myself the norm in terms of television usage at all. Hell, I'm watching previously recorded episodes of People's Court right now. I doubt that's normal LOL.

A lot of cable companies now have digital video recorders as part of their cable boxes if you get digital cable. I'm sure they have that in BC! But you are probably a better judge as to if that is as popular.
