She's a roleplayer! She's spend her entire life faking it. She's a career faker. How could she fail? ;)

'Cos the judges are looking for (an appearance of) competancy?

And, frankly, those of "us" most at home with rushing into a room, faking it, and rushing out do tend to rely on the fact that the audience are also faking it, and don't have a chance to go "huh, but that's just daft!" before the acting is over. And in that environment, compentancy is ... um, not exactly the skill most cherished is it?

And yes, I am looking at you here.
Not that you've ever been known to loom instead. Huh? Huh?

Um, in the real world everyone else is faking it too. Deep down!

And if competency was what created success in the real world, it'd be in a much better state than it currently is in, IMO.

The big question is - how much was real ?

Slightly behind due to having watched it on tivo but yes, I agree.

I really felt for her through most of that since I suspect I'd have been exactly the same. No, in fact I think I'd have been worse but I dare say Kate would say that too. I'd be interested to know how typical some of the "as you go along" was because with all the "kate in tears" shots I was frankly shocked at how bloody professional she looked at the end. I suspect they just cut her being good as she went along because its more interesting to have her looking really crap and "never going to make it" up until the end.

So my question is, how much were channel 4 faking it? :)

Without going into too much detail, Channel 4 did indeed fake it quite a lot. To be honest, considering some of the stories Kate's told me, I'm surprised she came across as much like Kate as she did.

I think the final challenge was kosher though.
