Thank God for Nepotism

Whee, I now know how to give intramuscular and subcutaneous injections. Monica had a little preparatory injection class with Alicia and I (because Alicia only works as a receptionist right now but is learning all the MA stuff so she can double task if needed in a pinch) and we got to inject oranges, and then had to test on each other ( Read more... )

Your squeemishness over things you can't see is odd. O_o

And yay nepotism. That's apparently how it's done in the real world. College is about making contacts with people who have contacts in the field so that you can be all "hey, know anyone with a job for meee?"

Holy shit your hair looks sexy there. *jealous*

Also, holy crap that's right. Congrats for making it to a year with Max. I'm sad that I still have only like...surface level of knowledge of the dude, but happy times for yooou.

So THAT's the point of grad school, making connections. XD

There's totally a hot pink hair curler pinned inside that swoop to keep its shape and then gobs of hairspray. You should have seen when I was trying to take it out, it was like concrete.

THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR LIVING FAR AWAY THEN MOVING FARTHER AWAY. :P

I totally found out all about 40s hair while I was trying to find a good reference pic and styling help. Obviously they're called that because of the patriotism inspired by the war, but they developed such complicated and intricate hairstyles as a result of the clothing/fabric rationing from the war as well. They all had to wear plain, similar dresses so having fancy hair was the only way to distinguish yourself and make yourself look snazzy in comparison. It was this new wave of complicated hair that led to the invention and popularization of shoulder pads, because fashion designers needed something to balance out the business up top to make their designs flattering, because having a full skirt and a tall, embellished head made the girls look like cones.

THE MORE YOU KNOW.

So Cody doesn't work at the clinic, eh? I'm so glad that Monica is training you. I am also shocked that it only takes 10 hours of onthejob training to actually become certified. Great for you, horrible for jessica. But, I'm just so happy that you're happy about work. Anyway, again... thanks for the sweet email about my photo project.

Totally love and miss you,

-Rosie
ps: Hot hairstyle too.
